Sunshine School, located in Queens, is a day care and UPK preschool for children aged three to five. The school provides a success-oriented, supportive environment, within a developmental learning center model. The Creative Curriculum is used and the program helps the children meet the NYS Pre-K standards, embedded within playful experiences. Class size is typically 16 children or less. The diverse student body benefits from a multicultural program that includes bilingual classes in Spanish, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi. The UPK program is free to families and the day care program accepts private pay, ACD/HRA vouchers, and union 1199 vouchers.
